Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
September 30, 2010

Executive Committee Present:
Maggie Masimore, Kate Deitzer, Elizabeth Ralph, Carol Garrett
Staff Present:

1.
The Committee heard a presentation from Bob Sircy of South Southwestern Investment Services, Inc. about the Raymond James Freedom Fund. The Committee voted to transfer a total of $100,000.00 from DWS, the Alliance Bernstein Fund and the Money Market Account to the Raymond James Mutual Fund. Motion: Carol Garrett, Second: Kate Deitzer, Vote: Unanimous.
2.
The minutes of te previous meeting were approved.
3.
The July financial statement was reviewed.
4.
The membership development plan was reviewd.
5.
The Walmart Project was reviewed. A memo of understanding with Project Opportunity is being developed. MNPS has started the new transition class with students to be trained at the Metro Criminal Justice Center.
6.
The orientation for the board of directors is scheduled for October 30. Vanderbilt Holiday Inn and the Green Hills YMCA are possible locations.
7.
Maggie reported on interest from the Green Hills YMCA in starting a recreation program for young adults with disabilities using YMCA Teen Leaders as volunteers. Carol and Elizabeth volunteered to help.
8.

Norman reported on the Family Support, Independent Support Coordination, MNPS Family Liaison, and Education Advocacy Programs.
