Boundless 2017: One-of-a-Kind Runway Show Back for Second Year

Local Designers, Boutique Owners, Stylists, and Models Come Together to Celebrate

Diversity

Nashville, Tenn. - Local nonprofits Fashion is for Every Body and Empower Tennessee are

teaming up to bring their shared message of full inclusion and true diversity to the runway

for Nashville’s 2nd annual body-positive high-fashion show. Local fashion blogger Alicia

Searcy (Executive Director of Fashion is for Every Body and author of Spashionista.com ), and

co-producer Krystle Ramos debuted the concept last year to a sold-out crowd at Abrasive

Media. This year, Searcy is working with Brandon Brown, Executive Director of Empower

Tennessee to bring an even bigger crowd--- and an even glitzier show---to Studio 615 on

Saturday September 9th.

The show, named Boundless , has been carefully curated to embody Searcy and Brown’s

vision for the event: a barrier-free, inclusive celebration of local fashion and design.

“The purpose of the show is to celebrate inclusion within the world of fashion---a realm that

tends to promote exclusion--- by bringing together models of all genders, ages, shapes, sizes and

ability levels,” Searcy said. “We believe positive representation is the first step to inclusion, and

a runway show is an innovative way to accomplish that.”

Boundless will feature models in six runway segments, wearing looks from Nashville

designers. Featured designers include local favorites Opium Vintage and Sue Surdi Designs

as well as Nashville Fashion Week alumnae Cat-land Forever Couture, Ola Mai and Lily

Guilder. After the show guests can shop featured looks at the Garment District pop-up

shop. Boundless is sponsored by Studio 615 and Tribe Talent.

“Empower Tennessee and Fashion Is For Every Body curated Boundless from a

shared vision, in which people of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities assert

their right to be fierce and be seen,” Brown says, ”Boundless is the perfect name:

it conveys that vision succinctly, and highlights the important role each of our

organizations play in empowering all people to live the life they choose.”

Proceeds from Boundless benefit Fashion is for Every Body and Empower Tennessee.

Tickets are $20-$75 (standing-room, general admission, and VIP). Admission includes light

hors d'oeuvres and a featured cocktail. VIP guests will receive a gift bag, early access to

the Garment District pop-up shop (sponsored by Lightning 100), and food and drink perks. For tickets, go

Brown at brandonb@empowertn.org .
